Student Years That Shaped My Practice

I completed my Master’s degree in Design in 2021–2022, graduating as a qualified Master of Design. That period was demanding, intense, and deeply formative - not only academically, but personally.
While studying, I received several recognitions that played a crucial role in how I see myself as an artist today.
One of the most important achievements was winning First Prize (Round I) at the All-Ukrainian Competition of Student Research Works in the field of Design, Fine Art, Decorative Art, and Restoration. This award was issued by Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University and officially recognized my research-based artistic work at a national level.

Alongside this, I was awarded a student academic prize for research and creative achievement - a moment that, at the time, felt almost unreal. Until then, much of my work had been intuitive and inward-looking. These recognitions forced me to take it seriously and to trust my own thinking.

During my Master’s studies, I also co-authored a peer-reviewed academic article:
“Esthesis of Environmental Design: Artistic Modeling of the Exhibition Space and Construction of a Unique Art Object” (2021)
The article was published in the academic journal Humanities Science: Current Issues and explores environmental design, artistic modeling, and the creation of unique art objects using sustainable materials. My contribution focused on the relationship between artistic thinking, form, and ecological responsibility - ideas that continue to inform my contemporary art practice today.
The publication is officially registered and indexed via my ORCID researcher profile:https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5946-9741
Although the article itself is not freely downloadable, it exists as a verified academic publication and remains an important foundation for my later work - including my transition into acrylic art and mixed media as independent artistic practice.
Looking back, these student achievements were not about awards or titles. They mattered because they changed my internal position. They made me believe that my work could stand on its own - intellectually, visually, and conceptually.
That belief stayed with me long after graduation.
